What Makes It Standout From Other Models and Brands?
Before we proceed with the demo, let's talk about some of the selling points of this chair. Physically, the feel of the leather is really comfortable because it is genuine leather. It's one of the only chairs on the market that use genuine leather. Luraco is well known for that so you can tell right away. The timing and the choreography of the massage are very very refined. What that means is that if you've ever gone to get a healing service or a nice sauna massage from a spa you'll know that a good massage doesn't necessarily mean that the masseuse has bigger hands or more than two hands of course.
Sometimes the biggest difference between a great massage and a mediocre massage it's just the timing of the movements. In other words how long do they spend on each body part before they move to the next, how long does each movement, each motion take and what's the style, what's the smoothness of the motion. All that's been carefully thought-out and engineered into the Luraco Legend.
Getting Started (Demo Mode)
So you basically start by slipping your arms into the forearm, bicep and triceps area and then there are a few easy ways to get started. The easiest is you just go into auto mode. In the video below, we used the demo mode, which is going to give you a brief overview of how the chair functions overall.
Flip the head and neck pillow back if you happen to like a stronger massage for the upper shoulder and neck area and you'll see it will dip you backwards into the zero gravity position. What that means is it's elevating the the knees above the level of the heart and it's improving your circulation. It's taking all the pressure off of your joints from standing and sitting. In the video you'll see that it's performing the for forearm and tricep and bicep squeeze so it's applying a really good pressure on the entire arm all the way even into the hands. The foot rest is applying a a massage on the soles of the feet and the airbags are also inflating to push your feet down into those rollers.
On a side note, the Luraco Legend massage chair does a full body scan so that the massage is going to be customized for your body as it gives a precise measurement when you first sit in the chair so that it knows the dimensions of your back. The rollers will activate and will start massaging the upper shoulder area, the trapezius muscles near your neck. During this you can turn on the heat therapy and if you'd like, you can adjust the intensity level. The rollers for the bank are really really comfortable, it's an intense massage which allows the rollers to really get in there to kind of work out knots you have in your muscles and the forearm, tricep and bicep squeeze feel really good.
By the way, here's a quick rundown of features of the Legend
The foot rollers will continue to massage the bottoms of your feet and the calf air bags will come into play. The calf muscles will be squeezed and it provides a really relaxing pressure on the calves. The rollers will get down to the lower back, the mid-back area and the L track the will be activated so the glutes muscles will really be massaged. It's a very unique sensation if you haven't experienced before. Basically, there are rollers that will go down under your seat to massage your glutes muscles at the same time.
The shoulder massage airbags will have also inflated and what it's doing is it's applying pressure to the front and the outer part of your deltoids so it's sort of arching your chest, pulling your shoulders back. All the while, the foot rollers aren't activated and the back rollers and glutes roller is being activated as well so it's a very thorough full-body experience. It's really hard not to be relaxed!
Stretch Mode
The air bags will have inflated to grip your feet and calves and bend your legs down. The arms are then fully inflated so it's got a very firm firm grip on the forearms. It will then pull your feet down and it's got a really great pull tension pulling the feet down in a direction away from the knees. It's a really satisfying stretch feeling and it will initiate the sequence again. It will have grabbed the hold of your feet and legs and pull them down to really stretch them out. All the while the arms are fully gripped and stretched as well. It will go pulling my feet down away from the knee and then apply pressure and then relieve pressure.
It will go again into stretch mode and the shoulders will inflate to arch your shoulders back to kind of do like a puffing out of your chest movement. The feet will be pulled down to gently massage and stretch the leg and then extending the feet out away from the knees for a a very interesting feeling.
Quality Assurance
Since Luraco do their own assembly right on-site in Texas, all of those massage movements are programmed in the facility and any adjustments can be made right on the fly very very quickly. Also, the Luraco massage chairs are known to be very quiet, they're one of the quietest massage chairs on on the market. In the quality control section (we'll show this to you in a separate video), there are two individual microphones and the whole purpose of them is to test the chair for noise and if either microphone picks up noise above a certain tolerance level the chair gets sent back to be adjusted accordingly. The legend was in development for a couple of years and you can really see and feel all the improvements in the planning and then the constant reiteration of more improvements.
